When Life Gives You Lemons....
You make lemonade!!! That's what teacher do. Every. Single. Day. We have this incredible ability to make the most of everything. With pandemic teaching ON TOP OF limited resources, overcrowded classrooms, and public scrutiny, we still show up every day for the kids. BUT---Who is showing up for us? When we go to our homes exhausted and empty after giving so much, who looks out for the teacher? Well, I hate to break it to you, but you have to be the first one to look out for you. This month's box is a CHEERS to us for making the sweetest lemonade out of sour lemons. Enjoy.

Up first, we have this lovely enamel pin from Minti Fresh Designs that read "Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy." Great to add to your lanyard or denim jacket that all teachers have (haha!) I use my pins as quick affirmations to repeat to myself when I feel stress creeping in during the school day.
Next, we have a reflective journal from Knock, Knock as a space for you to do a daily brain dump and be inspired by your own awesome-ness. This journal also includes daily inspirational quotes and space for you to write or doodle. For this month's interview, I sat down with Bonita Bolton, certified life coach. She gave some thought provoking advice and challenges teachers to revaluate their why through. We discussed the importance of boundaries, self care, and self love. Her interview notes are included in the brochure, however, you can use this journal to answer the questions.

Speaking of self care, get into this self-care mini zine from Kim at thankubody. Kim is dedicated to helping to provide accessible companion tools and resources to support community health and well being. Her mini zine packed full of gentle reminders and ideas for self care. It can easily fit in your teacher bag or desk as a resource, when you need a moment to decompress.

This month's bath and body products from Avry Beauty and Facetory are included to serve as a reminder to treat your skin with care. This luxurious lotion is perfect for dry hands from using so much hand sanitizer at work and has subtle citrus scents. The gold foil mask is packed with antioxidants and lemon extract. It smells amazing and leaves your skin hydrated, bright, and moisturized.

Lastly, this adorable greeting card from heyimsakina that reads "Squeeze The Day" is included to write a letter to your future self. Thinking about the future can help our brains process the present and help guide our responses. Using the reflective prompts from Bonita, this card will be something between you and only you. When you finish your letter to yourself, put it somewhere special so you can refer back to it from time to time.
Welp, that's it. Here's to a few more months of turning lemons into lemonade!
